New Manila International Airport

The New Manila International Airport (NMIA) located in the municipality of Bulakan in the province of Bulacan is a landmark infrastructure project that will transform the aviation landscape of the Philippines. Developed by San Miguel Aerocity Inc. (SMAI), a wholly owned subsidiary of San Miguel Holdings Corporation, the infrastructure arm of San Miguel Corporation (SMC), NMIA is set to alleviate air traffic congestion in the country by providing a modern and efficient gateway for passengers and cargo.

In September 2019, SMC signed a concession agreement with the Republic of the Philippines, represented by the Department of Transportation (DOTr), to develop, construct, operate, and maintain NMIA. Republic Act 11506 was then passed by Congress on December 20, 2020 as the enabling instrument granting a legislative franchise to SMAI for both domestic and international airport operations.
